How much do sessions cost?
$220 per therapy session (53 minutes)
Are sessions covered by my insurance?
Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.
Brave Young Minds is in-network with the following insurance providers:
- Aetna
- BlueCross/BlueShield
- Oscar
- Optum (including Optum EAP)
- UnitedHealthcare
- Oxford Health Plans
- Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare
- Cigna/Evernorth
Please ask these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
How do I seek reimbursement from my insurance company?
Some insurance plans (PPO plans) provide benefits for out-of-network care. Brave Young Minds is happy to provide a superbill to submit to insurance for reimbursement. Resources that may help to file these claims include https://thesuperbill.com and https://reimbursify.com.
How do I pay for services?
Brave Young Minds requires a valid credit card on file to schedule and pay for psychological services, including insurance copays if applicable.
What is the cancellation policy?
If necessary, please prove 24 hours notice for any cancellations. In the even that you do not provide 24 hours notice of cancellation or if you do not attend your initial appointment, your credit card will automatically be charged a $40 cancellation fee. Once follow-up appointments are scheduled, you will be expected to pay for the entire session unless you provide 24 hours advance notice of cancellation. In the event of illness or emergency (e.g., car accident, hospitalization or death of a loved one, etc.) Brave Young Minds will waive one late cancellation fee every six months. Please note that insurance companies will NOT pay for or reimburse me for missed appointments.
