How much do sessions cost?
$120 for 30 minutes
$180 for 45 minutes
$240 for 60 minutes
Are sessions covered by my insurance?
Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.
Brave Young Minds providers are in-network with the following insurance providers:
- Aetna
- BlueCross/BlueShield
- Oscar
- Optum (including Optum EAP)
- UnitedHealthcare
- Oxford Health Plans
- Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare
- Cigna/Evernorth
- Sana Benefits
- Lyra
Please ask these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
How do I seek reimbursement from my insurance company?
Some insurance plans (PPO plans) provide benefits for out-of-network care. Brave Young Minds is happy to provide a superbill to submit to insurance for reimbursement. Resources that may help to file these claims include https://thesuperbill.com and https://reimbursify.com.
How do I pay for services?
Brave Young Minds requires a valid credit card on file to schedule and pay for psychological services, including insurance copays if applicable.
What is the cancellation policy?
If necessary, please prove 48 hours' notice for any cancellations. In the even that you do not provide 48 hourss notice of cancellation or if you do not attend your initial appointment, your credit card will automatically be charged for the full amount of time reserved ($120 for 30 minutes, $180 for 45 minutes, or $240 for 60 minutes). Once follow-up appointments are scheduled (usually weekly), you will be expected to pay for the entire session unless you provide 48 hours' advance notice of cancellation. In the event of illness or emergency (e.g., car accident, hospitalization or death of a loved one, etc.) Brave Young Minds will waive one late cancellation fee every six months. Please note that most insurance companies will NOT pay for or reimburse me for missed appointments.
